Utilizing a popular static site generator (Hugo) and a repo of shortcodes and partials, I developed this website in just four days. The tools I primarily used throughout the project were PowerShell 7 and Visual Studio Code, and I was coding in Markdown, HTML, and Tailwind CSS. I hosted my project by creating a Git repository and syncing it to Netlify for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
This was all relatively new to me and drastically different from my web design classes in University. However, I enjoyed learning and experimenting with modern tools, such as static site generation and CI/CD workflows. While this project barely scratched the surface of modern web development, I had a blast and couldn’t help but hyperfixate on it!
